MY STORY:

I have been an artist for over eighteen years.  I built the foundation for my drawing and painting skills through extensive study at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.  More recently, I have been engaged in ongoing individual study with Peter Van Dyck, a Philadelphia-based artist and teacher who was educated at The Florence Academy of Art in Italy. My studies with Peter have strongly influenced my work and have guided me in my quest to keep evolving as a painter.

For me, painting is an opportunity to transform fleeting visual experiences, perceptions and memories into something elevated, tangible and more permanent.

Being a professional artist is my second career. Prior to that, I enjoyed an extensive career in Marketing and Branding. I greatly enjoyed that line of work, but I am truly passionate about being a painter.

STUDIO AND GALLERIES:

My studio is located in a restored carriage house on a historic property in Media, Pennsylvania. This inspiring setting has proven to be a great match for my preference to paint from life and work from direct observation whenever possible.

My paintings are currently available through Cerulean Arts Collective in Philadelphia, The Station Gallery in Greenville, Delaware and the recently opened Kingsway Gallery in Chester Springs, PA.   Iā€™m also a member of Oil Painters of America (OPA), an organization dedicated to the preservation of representational painting, and the Delaware Valley Art League.

In recent years, I pursued my love of design and working with flowers by earning a Certificate in Floral Design from Longwood Gardens.
